SACK is a non-profit 501(c)(3)
organization that I have co-founded, along with a good friend,
Duncan Jennings. For the past several years, Duncan and I
have organized and operated a youth football clinic through the
Raleigh Parks & Recreation. While we still intend to
affiliate ourselves with the outstanding people of the Parks and
Recreation, establishing this organization is allowing us
greater freedom to seek sponsorships and to expand our efforts
in the future. Below are the principles behind SACK.
Mission Statement:
The mission of SACK is to promote organized TEAM sports as a fun,
character-building activity for children. Our one-day
camps are designed to teach children the basic fundamentals that
will not only improve their athletic skills, but also increase
coordination, fitness and safety. Additionally, the
clinics are designed to expose children to positive role models
that can reinforce the importance of education, respect, and
good citizenship.
As organizers of the annual
clinic, we believe that team sports can be a positive influence
in a child’s life. When children receive the proper
training, discipline and motivation, participation in team
sports can and will build
