Service to others is one of the things that my parents have drilled into me since I was a kid.  I believe that serving my community and other people is a very important part of being successful in life.  In my mind, being a servant involves much more than just donating money.  I believe that giving our time and our energy is every bit as important as our dollars; and in many cases, they are more important!!!

I know it is literally impossible to support every good cause that is out there.  I feel very fortunate to have found some charities that are closely tied into issues that have affected both family members and friends.  And I enjoy being part of some activities that have been very important in my life.  One thing you'll notice is that the majority of these organizations work with children (and some young adults).  My family has always been very active in working with underprivileged and handicapped children.  In fact, my sister and brother-in-law have made it their profession.

My hope in displaying these organizations on Invest4Change.com is to provide exposure for what I believe are very good causes.  If only one person becomes involved in or learns more about any of these causes, then I have done a positive thing.  If you're looking for something to participate in, I highly encourage you to check out these organizations.  If you find some other cause that has more meaning to you and your family, that's great.  But, please find something and make it a part of your life.
